Insect whirl

Made for a contest at work, this quilt is off the book 'One Block Wonders'. It's unquilted still, I'll try to get a better photo once it is. You take a fabric, in this case it was a realistic print of grass and a lot of colorful insects, and chop it up into triangles, reassembling it for this kaliedoscopic effect. Individual bugs were cut out of scraps and fused onto the border. When it's finished, the quilt goes to my buddy Morri.
